Chris Kiez is a recently retired police officer with 33 years service. In 1990 he became a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (working Federal Enforcement, Drugs Section, and the RCMP Emergency Response Team (SWAT). Chris moved to the Ottawa Police Service in 1995, and in 1999, undertook a United Nations mission in Bosnia. This included investigating mass grave sites and war crimes. Upon returning to Canada from Bosnia, Chris began a twelve year path in the Ottawa Police forensics unit. Kiez was ultimately chosen to develop the Ottawa Police Service’s entire response for mass fatality events, as well as designing an all-weather secure body storage unit.
