Samantha Burdett is a Business Continuity and Recovery Planner with the Calgary Emergency Management Agency (CEMA). Sam has worked with the CEMA Community Preparedness Team and CEMA Operations and was heavily involved in the City of Calgary’s response to the NWT wildfires in 2023. Sam has an MLIS from the University of Western Ontario, an MA from the University of Guelph and a BA from the University of Calgary. She is an experienced researcher and a self-professed data geek. She has been very fortunate to have worked on issues of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging for 20+ years and continues to learn every day.
